HMEC 26-2 Variants

The HMEC 26-2 headset is available in three different variants:

  • - HMEC 26-2 (Active boomset - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 80mV/Pa) - features a higher sensitivity microphone to be paired with the cables without the "-2" identification
  • - HMEC 26-2-1 (Active boomset - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 60mV/Pa) - features a lower sensitivity microphone so that when paired with the "-2" cables below which provide a higher volume to the headphone, the side-tone is the appropriate volume
  • - HMEC 26-2-T (Active boomset - MKE 46 - TalkThrough microphone sensitivity 60mV/Pa) - features a lower sensitivity microphone

There are a variety of different cables offering different functions and connections.

  • - Cable-B-CP-2 = (With XLR-5 connector, NoiseGard™ power supply from batteries or aircraft DC power supply system)
  • - Cable-CP-2 = (With XLR-5 connector, NoiseGard -power supply from aircraft cockpit DC)
  • - Cable-B-K-2 = (With jack plugs, NoiseGard -power supply from batteries)
  • - Cable-BV-K-2 = (With jack plugs and volume control, NoiseGard power supply from batteries, audio-in and cell-phone-in)
  • - Cable-B-KP-2 = (With jack plugs, NoiseGard -power supply from batteries or aircraft cockpit DC)
  • - Cable-KP-2 = (With jack plugs, NoiseGard -power supply from aircraft cockpit DC at microphone plug tip)
  • - Cable-RP-2 = (With 6-Pin Redel connector, NoiseGard -power supply from aircraft cockpit DC)
  • - Cable-V-KX-2 = (With jack plugs and volume control, NoiseGard -power supply from aircraft cockpit DC by XLR-3 connector)
  • - Cable-CP = (With XLR-5 connector, NoiseGard -power supply from aircraft cockpit DC) (for use with the HMEC 26-2 headset)
  • - Cable-KP = (With jack plugs, NoiseGard -power supply from aircraft cockpit DC at microphone tip) (for use with the HMEC 26-2 headset)

NOTE: The different cable components/connectors are defined as follows:
- B = NoiseGard Powered by Battery
- P = NoiseGard Powered by Panel
- V = Volume Control
- K = Dual Plugs ( PJ068/KL6,35)
- C = XLR-5 Connector
- R = Reidel Connector (6 Pin)
- X = XLR-3 Connector

For purchasing convenience for some general use applications we offer options where the headset and cable come together. These options are:

  • - HMEC 26-2-1-BV-K-2 = (Active boomset - 1.85m - PJ068/KL6,35 - Operating control with NoiseGard switch, volume control, mono/stereo switch - power supply NoiseGard from batteries - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 60 mV/Pa)
  • - HMEC 26-2-1-B-K-2 = (Active boomset - 1.85m - PJ068/KL6,35/XLR-3 - Operating control with NoiseGard switch - power supply NoiseGard from batteries - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 60 mV/Pa)
  • - HMEC 26-2-1-KP-2 = (Active boomset - 1.85m - PJ068/KL6,35 - Operating control II - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 60 mV/Pa microphone sensitivity 60 mV/Pa)
  • - HMEC 26-2-1-CP-2 = (Active boomset - 1.85m - XLR-5 - Operating control - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 60 mV/Pa)
  • - HMEC 26-2-KP = (Active boomset - 1.85m - PJ068/KL6,35 - Operating control II with NoiseGard switch - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 80mV/Pa)
  • - HMEC 26-2-CP = (Active boomset - 1.85m - XLR-5 - Operating control with NoiseGard switch - MKE 46 microphone sensitivity 80mV/Pa)

If the combination headset cable option that you need exists then you can purchase that option. If the headset cable combination is not offered (see above list) then you simply purchase the headset and appropriate cable separately. NOTE: The installation of the cable to the headset is is very user friendly and easy to do.
